THE AMEN

“And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God:” (Rev 3:14 NKJV)

Revelation 3 tells us that Jesus is the Amen, but exactly what does that mean? What does ‘amen’ even imply?

Amen is a most unique word. It is a universal word.
The Amen is a most unique man.  The Amen is a universal man.
Amen is not a word to be ignored or left out of our vocabulary.
The AMEN is not a man to be ignored nor left out of our lives.

The word, amen,  has been “transliterated directly from the Hebrew into the Greek of the New Testament, then into Latin and into English and many other languages, so that it is practically a universal word. It has been called the best-known word in human speech” (https://www.blueletterbible.org/lexicon/g281/nkjv/tr/0-1/).

Amen means the same in Hebrew, Greek, Latin, and English.  The Hebrew word for “amen” is amen. The Greek word for “amen” is amen, not amenthe, and so on.  “Amen” is originally from the Hebrew word, “aman,” which translates like this in reference to Jesus:

He is Firm.
He is Assurance.
He is the Assured.
He is Faithful.
He is Truth.
He is Sure.
He is the Confidence.
He is the Establisher.
He is the Trusted.
He is the Steadfast.
He is the Stand.
He is the Certain.
He is the Confirmer.
He Is the Verifier.
He is the Supporter.
He is the Stay.
He is the “So Be It.”
He is the Amen.

HE THE FAITHFUL GOD, THE AMEN GOD

“Therefore, know that the LORD your God, He [is] God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments.” (Deu 7:9 NKJV)

THE LORD WHO IS FAITHFUL, THE LORD WHO IS AMEN

“Thus says the LORD, The Redeemer of Israel, their Holy One, To Him whom man despises, To Him whom the nation abhors, To the Servant of rulers: “Kings shall see and arise, Princes also shall worship, Because of the LORD who is faithful, The Holy One of Israel; And He has chosen You.” (Isa 49:7 NKJV)

THE GOD OF TRUTH, THE GOD OF AMEN

“So that he who blesses himself in the earth Shall bless himself in the God of truth; And he who swears in the earth Shall swear by the God of truth; Because the former troubles are forgotten, And because they are hidden from My eyes.”  (Isa 65:16 NKJV)

The Lord is the Amen.  His word and his works are also, amen.

THE TESTIMONY OF THE LORD [IS] SURE. THE TESTIMONY OF THE LORD [IS] AMEN.

“The law of the LORD [is] perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the LORD [is] sure, making wise the simple.” (Psa 19:7 NKJV)

THE WORKS OF HIS HANDS ARE]AMEN. ALL HIS PRECEPTS ARE]AMEN.

“The works of His hands [are] verity and justice; All His precepts [are] sure.” (Psa 111:7 NKJV)

Whether Jesus and the disciples used the word, verily, truly, or assuredly in the following scriptures, it is the Greek word, “amen.”   Jesus, the Amen said it.  It is the truth. So, be it. Be confident. It is certain. It will happen.  You can take it to the bank. Believe it. He is truth and His word is truth. He is faithful. Be assured; it will be.

Jesus (the AMEN) said  to them  assuredly, I say to you, “if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” (Mat 17:20 NKJV)

Jesus (the AMEN )said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. (Mat 18:3 NKJV)

Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”(Mat 18:18 NKJV)

Then Jesus  (the AMEN)said to His disciples, “Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. (Mat 19:23 NKJV)

So, Jesus (the AMEN) answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done. (Mat 21:21 NKJV)

Teaching them to observe all things that I (the AMEN) have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, [even] to the end of the age. Amen. (Mat 28:20 NKJV)

Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter;” (Mar 3:28 NKJV)

Every promise that the AMEN ever made, every word He ever spoke, we  can be assured  that it will be because It is backed by the  unlimited resources and power of the Kingdom Bank of God.

He is the AMEN Savior, the AMEN Healer, the AMEN Completer, the AMEN Deliverer, the Amen Guide, the AMEN Comforter, the AMEN Help, the AMEN Provider, the AMEN Conqueror and the AMEN Victor.  He is the AMEN.  Amen!

“For all the promises of God in Him [are] Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” (2Co 1:20 NKJV)

I enCOURAGE you in the AMEN, our Jesus!   If you are not emboldened by this one little four word and all its promises, I do not know what will motivate you. I have read and wrote myself happy and fearless in Him today.  I believe the AMEN can and will make all things possible according to His promises.  It is not “if,” it is when ?

He who testifies to these things says, ‘Surely I am coming quickly.’ Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you all.  Amen” (Rev 22:21 NKJV)
