SUNDAY IN THE SAND

I have one friend who will text me a worship song out of the blue.  They come few and far between, but they mean so much.  They usually take me to a special place with the Lord.    Don’t you just love it when you get that kind of a text or email?  My niece-in-love sent me this song and it took me to my very favorite place…the beach with the Lord.   Like the lyrics of Brian Kelley’s song, “God, I’m grateful for this land.”  On this July 4th, I am thankful that this is the land of the free.  I am so grateful for our independence.  I am thankful that every time my toes hit the beach that it is, “Sunday Service in the Sand.”  I am thankful for this song that took me to my favorite place with the Lord and to the place where I feel the freest!   Happy Fourth!  Enjoy our freedom and this song.

SUNDAY SERVICE IN THE SAND
Songwriters: Blake Redferrin / Brian Kelley / Canaan Lee Smith / Jake Rose Song by Brian Kelley

Sunday service in the sand
God, I’m thankful for this land
I see You as far as I can see
Words can’t paint what you mean to me
Whoa whoa, watching them white caps crashing over my sins
Whoa whoa, don’t think heaven can get much closer than this

I’m sending up a beach chair prayer
I’m talkin’ to the man upstairs
Gotta tell Him how grateful that I am
I can feel the salt water workin’
High tide’s takin me to church and
I can’t help but raise my hands
To another Sunday service in the sand

Teal water sunrise, gulf side view
I start my day on a tailgate pew, yeah
Seagulls singing them holy hymns
Oh god, I love to sing along with them

When I’m sending up a beach chair prayer
I’m talkin’ to the man upstairs
Gotta tell Him how grateful that I am
I can feel the salt water workin’
High tide’s takin me to church and
I can’t help but raise my hands
To another Sunday service in the sand
Mm, service in the sand

Whoa whoa, watching them white caps crashing over my sins
Whoa whoa, don’t think heaven can get much closer than this

I’m sending up a beach chair prayer
I’m talkin’ to the man upstairs
Gotta tell him how grateful that I am
I can feel the salt water workin’
High tide’s takin me to church and
I can’t help but raise my hands
To another Sunday service in the sand
Mm, service in the sand, oh yeah

Sunday service in the sand

GOD, I’M GREATFUL FOR THIS LAND

I simply enCOURAGE you to enjoy your freedoms today.  Enjoy the freedom to breathe, walk, talk, to read your Bible openly, speak the name of Jesus without being jailed, and “Sunday service in the sand” or wherever you might go to church.   Enjoy the day. Enjoy the song…https://youtu.be/uvIOOZDRJM8
