“The end of a thing [is] better than its beginning.” (Ecclesiastes 7:8 NKJV)
My Papa Abney always said, “The worst thing about doing anything is just starting it.” He must have listened to the words of the wise, Solomon and all his proverbs. They are truth. The end of a thing is better than its beginning. Think about it.
The end of a thing is better than its beginning.
The end of a cake is better than the mixing in the beginning because the beginning doesn’t taste so good.
The end of a road trip always seems better than the start because it seems a shorter distance to home.
The end of a conflict is better than its beginning because it brings resolution.
The end of a painting is better than its beginning because we are blessed to see the final product.
The end of childbirth labor is better than beginning pangs because of the miracle awaiting at the end.
The end of a “diet” is better than the sacrifice of the beginning because the fruits of labor are rewarded.
The end of a race, crossing the finish line, is better than the starting line and the thoughts of having to painfully put one foot in front of the other.
And so on and so on…
I enCOURAGE you to start. Take your first step. Whatever you have been procrastinating about doing, just begin.
“Finishing is better than starting.” (Ecclesiastes 7:8 NLT)
❤❤❤ So true! Daddy was a wise man! Much of what he would say to Sherrill and me as we were growing up was scripturally based; the evidence of his Godly parents’ influence on his life.
