I want to win.  I want to be victorious every time, all the time and in everything.  I do not know about you, but I do not like to lose.  Actually, I have stronger feelings.  I HATE TO LOSE!

I hate to fail.  I hate to make a mistake.  I do not like getting lost going anywhere.  I hate to lose ball games.  I hate to lose at card games.  I even hate to lose at wheel of fortune. Don’t let anybody guess the puzzle before I do.  And the Fear Of Missing Out is real when we are talking about life and all that God has promised.   He has promised a life where we are whole, nothing missing, healed and complete.

Hence, Winning and sinning are not copacetic.

Therefore, do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. (Romans 6:12 NKJV)

Sin is:

  • Failing to hit the mark.
  • Missing the mark and not sharing the prize.
  • Error, wandering off the path of doing it right.
  • Making a wrong turn.
  • Doing the wrong
  • Missing out on part of.
  • Missing out on destiny.

Sin keeps us from our destiny.  Sin and the win, they ain’t friends.  Want life exceedingly, abundantly more than we could ever ask or expect?

Do not let any sin…

  • Reign
  • Rule
  • Be King
  • Be Governor
  • Be Lord
  • Exercise Kingly Power
  • Exercise the Highest Influence
  • Control
  • Be Leader
  • BE Prince
  • BE Commander
  • Be Lord of The Land
  • Be your BASIS
  • Be How You Step
  • Be the Way You Walk
  • Be Your Foundation

We should not choose to sin because it is expensive.  It cost Jesus his life.  He bought us back so that we could have life God originally intended.   Sin costs us a WHOLE life.  For example, if we do not obey God’s word and exercise self-control in our eating life, we are allowing food to rule, reign, govern, and be lord of our life.  Uncontrolled, unhealthy eating becomes the way we walk out life.  It becomes the basis of life.  By the very definition of sin, we are missing out on part of a WHOLE life.  We are missing out on the best life that God has called us to.  We are choosing to lose in that part of our life by not allowing Jesus to be Lord in that area.  We have not given him our WHOLE self.   We might be winning in other areas of life, but we are losing out in any area where we choose to sin.

We should hate sin because it is causing us to miss out on the win!   We need to surrender all to Jesus.

Do not continue offering or yielding your bodily members to sin as instruments (tools) of wickedness. But offer and yield yourselves to God as though you have been raised from the dead to [perpetual] life, and your bodily members to God, presenting them as implements of righteousness. (Romans 6:13)

The Lord will empower us to victory.  We turn a deaf ear to sin.  We do not obey, do not listen, nor do we be conformed to the command of sin.  We do not answer the door when it comes knocking.  We no longer lose to sin, but  become winners on the Kingdom team of God.

I encourage you to break up with sin for the win.  Consider your relationship with sin dead.  Choose a life alive with God, living in unbroken fellowship with Him in Christ Jesus. It is the winning life. It is WHOLE LIFE!

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ! -1 Corinthians 15:57
