And the LORD said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I surely bear [a child], since I am old?’ Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.” [Gen 18:13-14 NKJV]
Is anything too hard for the LORD ?
“God [is] not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” Num 23:19 NKJV]
Do you believe God is who He says He is and will do what He says He will do?
“For nothing is impossible with God.” [Luke 1:37 NLT]
We need to be about believing the impossible
He created the heavens and the earth and ALL that is in the earth. He hangs the earth on nothing. He turns the night into day and back again.
We need to be about believing the impossible.
He causes the sun to gloriously rise in the east and to magnificently set in the west. He makes sunlight strike water droplets at the right angle to form a perfect polychromatic bow after a rain as a sign of His promise.
We need to be about believing the impossible.
“Thus says God the LORD…Who gives breath to the people on it, And spirit to those who walk on it.” [Isa 42:5 NKJV]
Have you witnessed the birth of a baby? Have you watched a newborn take its first breath? Have you seen ten little toes and fingers adorning the tiny little machine of a body?
We need to be about believing the impossible.
Have you seen the ocean roar into the coast, over and over again, only to recede it an effort not to overstep its boundary? Have you picked up a one-in-a million-minute shell on the beach and observedperfection? Have you plunged your hand in the wavy sea and discovered a treasured conch as big as your head? Have you tried to number the grains of sand on the shore ?
We need to be about believing the impossible.
At 75, The LORD told Abram that he would be the father of many nations. He told Abraham at 99 that he would have a child with his wife Sarah. Abraham dared believe for twenty-five years that nothing was too hard for God. Sarah, Abraham’s wife laughed at the thought. Guess what?
“Sarah CONCEIVED and BORE Abraham a son in his old age, at the SET TIME of which God had SPOKEN to him.” (Gen 21:2 NKJV emphasis)
Sarah conceived the promise.
Sarah carried the promise.
Sarah delivered the promise at the set time.
What promise has God conceived in you? You AND your household will be saved? You will be healed? You will publish a book? You will lead a ministry? You will get a new job? You will find the love of your life? You will bare your own child?
What promise of God are you carrying? How long have you waited for that promised to be birthed? Do not give in and do not give up. Nothing is too hard for God.
What are you waiting on? Be strong. Be courageous. Stand immovable. Wait because at the set time written in your book. God will deliver the promise. He is truth and He cannot lie. He is in the business of impossible deliveries.
I enCOURAGE you to be about believing the impossible. It is in the impossible that God can show up and show out for His glory alone. Remember, the earth hangs on “nothing.” Nothing is impossible nor too hard for our Great God.
“And Sarah said, ‘God has made me laugh, [and] all who hear will laugh with me.’” (Gen 21:6 NKJV). When you believe and are a witness to God performing the impossible, all you can do is laugh out your unspeakable joy.
VIVA MAGENTA: Live. Breathe. Be…believing the impossible.
